Looks can kill

Samba Elegua perform at PS Kensington.

Samba Elegua play at PS Kensington this past Sunday. Like Nunca Antes, they draw a huge crowd. While Nunca Antes usually lead a procession through the Market, Samba Elegua usually situate themselves at Baldwin and Augusta, something I forgot as I waited up the street. By the time I realised my mistake they were well into their set and finding good camera positions was a trip. (It’s easier to photograph the processions as the angles and backgrounds keep changing and moving around is much simpler.)

A Hail Mary shot, but it gives you an indication of the crowd the samba bands attract in Kensington Market.
